East Coast Eddie Law may be one of the best kept secrets in Rock-N-Roll for a longtime. His battleship delivery and burning vocals have been knocking the socks off listeners for almost 20 years. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mr. Law made his mark in steamy South Florida at the tender age of only sixteen; Right-Smack-dab in the middle of the 80's big hair and big guitar revolution. His first band, Trial, won several Battle-of-the-bands and stood out amongst the many "copycat" bands of the time. He's received classical training from renowned teacher Elizabeth Sabine (Axl Rose, Steve Perry, Mike Sweet). Eddie left the small pond of South Florida for the chance to become a Big Fish amidst the Los Angeles music explosion. He played with many national acts at all the legendary clubs like, The Whiskey, The Roxy and the Troubadour. He parlayed his "live" success by capturing the coveted and lucrative World of studio vocal work. In 1989 Mr. Law caught the attention of renowned manager, Wendy Dio of Niji Management (Ronnie James Dio, Rough Cutt, and Cold Sweat). It wasn't long before he was playing with seasoned veteran musicians like House of Lords' guitarist Mike Guy, Dio , bassist Jimmy Bean and Hericane Alice ,drummer Jackie Ramos. Legendary Rough Cutt singer Paul Shortino. In 1990, years of getting close but no cigar and the untimely death of his biggest fan, his dad, led Eddie back to his old stomping grounds of South Florida. Where Eddie ran across guitar legend Yngwie J. Malmsteen at The Button South. The timing couldn't have been better as Yngwie was auditioning singers for a new band he was putting together. Could Eddie finally get his big break? Yngwie was shocked at Eddie's similarities to one of his childhood hero's; the lead singer of Deep Purple. Yngwie says, "Man, he looked just like a younger Ian Gillan and his voice sounded just as strong." The two became quick friends, playing many impromptu recordings at the maestro's Miami studio and home. "I have to go back to Sweden for the Holidays," said Yngwie, but when I return, I will call you!" That call never came, however, and Eddie ventured back to Los Angeles. He would later find out from his guitar tech that Malmsteen decided to make a dream of his come true and hire an All-Swedish band. And so Eddie Law didn't give up.

Thanks Bobby And VANESSA For the Kick ASS interview. Rock ON The Real Steel Story Real Steel emerged from the incredibly fertile Cleveland Ohio Metal Scene of the eighties, a scene which spawned the likes of, Shok Paris, Breaker, Wretch, Hate, and Brick Mistress! Though they would come to prominence in Cleveland, Real Steel was actually put together in rural Tuscarawas County by Dave Hasselbach, Scott Smalley, and Bobby Stocker. After a year of trying different people in the other guitar spot, the final piece of the puzzle was found in the form of Parma High School Sophomore Paul Klaff! These four musicians had an incredible chemistry together from the first note they ever played, and also an incredibly intense work ethic that bordered on obsession! Songs came together quickly, and the classic Real Steel Sound of melodic virtuoso guitars, catchy riffs, leather lunged lead vocals, soaring three part harmonies, and a driving rhythm section, were now in place and ready to be taken to the masses. Real Steel opened two shows for good friends and Cleveland's then number one metal band, Shok Paris(also boasting two members from T county, Kelly Berkshire and Jan Roll) and the response was so overwhelming, that in the course of just two shows, Real Steel went from the rehearsal room, to being one of the most popular bands in the city! Now living in Cleveland, Real Steel was asked to contribute a song to Auburn Records Heavy Artillery Compilation Album. The song I Rule The Radio, became a popular tune on Metal and on college radio, prompting Auburn CEO Bill Peters to get involved in the management side of the band, and also to send the Boys into Beachwood Studios to record a full length Album to be shopped to major labels. Many labels showed strong interests, and were flying into Cleveland to see the Steel live. By this time Real Steel were drawing huge crowds of up to one thousand people to their shows, and opening for almost every national act that came trough town, like Bullet Boys, Bang Tango, Blue Murder, Savatage, Trouble, and Russia's Gorky Park! Also at about the same time, a song from one of the first Beachwood Sessions called Never Mind The Money beat out 675 other bands to become song 1 on the first ever WMMS North Coast Buzzard Tracks, this was a huge accomplishment considering at the time WMMS was voted by Rolling Stone Magazine as the 1 rock radio station in the country. Never Mind The Money would go on to become the most requested song on WMMS for 2 weeks running, beating out the 1 single in the country, Extreme's More Than Words. The future looked very bright when that same year Real Steel won US Rocker Magazine's Best Unsigned Band Contest over thousands of bands across 17 states! With Major label interests at a fever pitch, it seemed that all of the bands hard work and dreams were about to be recognized but with the release of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, it was only a matter of weeks till the whole Melodic Metal Scene would be a thing of the past. If you had big hair and could play no label would touch you. After living together for four years and working, literally seven days a week to make it, this was a bitter pill to swallow. Real Steel soldiered on for a little while, but the reality of their situation sunk in and they finally called it quits. Fast forward 16 years...suddenly there is again interest in the music of Real Steel, and that long ago recorded album is going to finally be released. The four members all still play music for a living. Dave Hasselbach and Paul Anthony in St. Petersburg Florida, Scott Smalley and Bobby Stocker in Tuscarawas County Ohio. There are now plans for a live show, and also some new material! The response has been overwhelming and inspiring! So now into the future! Regardless of what happens, they can still look back to that window of time between 1988-1991.. IT WAS THEIR TIME!!

Thanks Dani and Costábile Salzano Jr For the GREAT interview Power, energy, intensity. Ever since the beginning, in 2001, Shadowside could be defined by their attitude and passion for Rock and Metal music, bringing together catchy Hard Rock melodies and a current sound, with heavy guitar riffs, solid musicianship. Combined with that, are the distinct backgrounds of the four band members. Coming from a musical past of Punk Rock, Thrash and Glam Metal and having very unique personalities, they discovered two points in common between them all when they first got together: the love for making music and courage to take risks and pursue goals and dreams. Featuring lead singer Dani Nolden, owner of one of the most powerful, intense yet melodic female vocals ever heard and almost supernatural charisma, they leave fans totally enthralled night after night with a highly vigorous performance. The band started activities in the sunny beach of Santos, Brazil, with the release of an independent EP, which surprised both media and fans, building a strong and loyal fan base night after night with an intense stage act. Such buzz secured them support slots for bands such as Nightwish, Primal Fear and Shaman in the first year of Shadowside's career. The buzz generated about the band created very high expectations for their debut full length Theatre of Shadows. Considered one of the best albums ever released in the Brazilian Metal scene, that CD proved their initial success was not mere luck but was based instead on hard work and constant improvement. Selling over 2.000 copies in Brazil only, even before hitting the road, they were the obvious choice to support Helloween in their Brazilian tour in 2006. During that year, Shadowside was awarded best band, album, lead singer and national show by several media professionals such as Airton Diniz, Editor in Chief of Roadie Crew Magazine. They were also featured on radio playlists worldwide. However it was in 2007 that Shadowside really went international. In July in that year, they won the "AirPlay Direct All Things Digital Hard Rock / Heavy Metal", chosen between over 1,000 bands worldwide. With the exposition received from the contest they signed to the North American label Chavis Records (Britny Fox, Quiet Riot) for the worldwide re-release of the debut album. They hype generated on MySpace and their performance at Indianapolis Metal Fest in September 2007 created a big demand for a full US tour, which happened in December last year and included live appearances in Las Vegas, broadcasted live on the internet. That only helped them grow their American fan base even bigger and they are now confirmed on three of the most important Metal festivals in America: the second edition of Indianapolis Metal Fest, Flight of the Valkyries and Rocklahoma, one of the biggest Rock / Metal events worldwide. With tickets sold in all American states, every province in Canada and other 32 countries, the expected crowd this year is over 60,000 people. As many predicted, Shadowside are now living the dream and new material was recorded, produced and mixed by Dave Schiffman, who is known for working with artists such as Audioslave, System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Six Feet Under and several others. All the 11 tracks on this record show a band that are not afraid to try and grow even more mature after every single release, despite the young age of the band members. As the album is mastered by Howie Weinberg, who was responsible for many gold and platinum selling albums worldwide and was involved with bands as Aerosmith, Rammstein, Pantera, Rush, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Nirvana and many others, they are ready to hit the road one more time and tour nonstop. Being one of the rising stars of the Brazilian Metal and Rock music scenes, Shadowside's new album title reflects what they always knew they should do: Dare to Dream. Sworn Enemy Guitarist Lorenzo Interview. Fun Interview Great Band Period. Looking forward into talking to them again. Rock On... SWORN ENEMY SWORN ENEMY have returned with a scathing new assault, Maniacal, that is unquestionably their most impressive and destructive release yet. Featuring a newly reinvigorated lineup and new home at Century Media, this 10-track offering takes the group’s sound to new heights, which sees them embracing a thrashier edge and pummeling the listener with unrivaled aggression times reminiscent of thrash titans like Exodus and Testament, as well as early Megadeth and Anthrax. Set for a Feb. 2008 release, Maniacal was co-produced by As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis and Life of Agony guitarist Joey Z, with Daniel Castleman (Destroy The Runner, Winds Of Plague) handling all mixing duties. The band's dynamic guitar tandem, composed of founding member Lorenzo Antonucci and Jamin Hunt, will definitely catch people’s attention with their jaw-dropping dual-guitar shredding, while vocalist Sal LoCoco delivers his most angst ridden performance yet. However, the most notable addition to the fold for this recording has to be the highly acclaimed Jordan Mancino (As I Lay Dying), who plays drums on all of the album’s tracks. As a fan and friend of the band, Jordan was excited to be a part of this project and his playing laid down a perfect foundation that took the album to another level. Throw all your preconceived notions out the window, because this is an all new SWORN ENEMY, determined to carve out their own unique new path within the metal genre. Make Sure to buy their Merch And NEW CD it helps the band Out...

M.I.B. Show Interview With Krokus... Thanks Marc And Chris Was A BLAST talking to you. ROCK ON.. Over a period of 3 decades KROKUS have recorded a total of 15 studio albums, 2 "live" albums and 3 "Best of..." (some remastered) albums with various line-up's. The breakthrough came in 1980 with Triple Platinum selling METAL RENDEZ-VOUS. Fernando Von Arb on lead-guitar, Chris Von Rohr on the mighty bass and drummer Freddy Steady established an International identity for the band and instant recognition with the powerful vocals of Marc “the voice” Storace. Three Rock Classics were born (“Bedside Radio”, “Heatstrokes” and “Tokyo Nights”) and caught the attention not only of the Swiss fans but also the British and American public as well as the press. In fact, “Heatstrokes” shot up to first place in the British Heavy Metal charts. Their follow-up record HARDWARE in 1981 shot straight to GOLD in Switzerland! It contains the big hits “Winning Man”, “Celebration” and the ultimate anthem for their hard rocking fans, “Easy Rocker”. All remain regular staples in their live set-list to this day. Then in 1982 followed the album ONE VICE AT A TIME. That album contains the hits “Long Stick Goes Boom!”, “Down The Drain”, “Playin’ The Outlaw” and the song that opened the doors to Canada: “American Woman”. Another GOLD Record Award. The 1983 HEADHUNTER release was their biggest selling album Worldwide to today. The songs for this album were written in the USA and recorded in Florida. It earned Platinum status in America (over one million copies sold), Gold Record Awards in Switzerland and Canada respectively! “Screaming In The Night” became their biggest hit so far, and still can be found today on radio play lists all around the world as a timeless classic rock ballad. Other songs like “Eat The Rich”, “Stayed Awake All Night” or the title track “Headhunter” are steadily requested by live audiences and the band obliges! In 1984 THE BLITZ was released. Yet again the band did their song writing in the USA, which by now was practically their second home. They wrote the hits “Midnite Maniac”, “Out Of Control” and the ballad that won young ladies’ hearts, “Our Love”! The rocked up version of “Ballroom Blitz” served not only for the album title but led to a sought after VHS/LaserDisc bit called “The Video Blitz”. The recordings were made in Canada and produced by the late, great Bruce Fairbairn. 1988 the album HEART ATTACK was released and time would tell that this was the last transatlantic concert tour for a long time. This album also featured the only song (“Winning Man”) that was recorded on a studio album twice (first time recording was in 1981 on the “Hardware” album). Musically, “Rock ‘n’ Roll Tonight” showed great live potential but promoting it on the radio waves brought its challenges due to changing music trends! Years of writing, recording and touring endlessly drained the band’s energy ...disheartened and burnt out they did what so many other bands in the eighties did as well: the "ORIGINAL" line-up went on a hiatus “until further notice”. 2007 And Beyond…. Now let's "fast forward" to the fall of 2007. The Swiss TV show "Die Grössten Schweizer Hits" ("Greatest Swiss Hits Of All Times") ran a six-part series, each broadcasting on Sunday evenings with different topics to record numbers of viewers. On November 18th KROKUS performed for the first time in 23 years in the classic line-up (minus Tommy Kiefer RIP), featuring Marc Storace on vocals, Fernando Von Arb on guitar, Chris Von Rohr on bass and Freddy Steady on drums. The medley consisted of the songs “Tokyo Nights”, “Bedside Radio” and “Heatstrokes”, all originally released on KROKUS’s 1980 album “Metal Rendez-Vous”. During the Swiss TV Show the musicians, much to their surprise, were presented by BMG (record label) with the “Diamond Record Award” for overall record sales in Switzerland during their tenure with the label (mainly in the early to mid 80’s). This is an extremely rare award to be handed out. To put this into perspective, the “Diamond Record Award” equals receiving 40 “Gold Record Awards” or 20 “Platinum Record Awards” in comparison. “Bedside Radio”, originally released in November of 1979 as a single in Switzerland, was back in the “Swiss Hitparade Charts” (equivalent to the US “Billboard Charts”). It shot from zero to 58 immediately in its first week after the broadcast. This originally promoted "one time reunion" would become the overture to the "impossible". April 20th, 2008 the official KROKUS web site announced the comeback of the "originals" that created hit after hit in the early 80's while playing stadiums in the States and Worldwide. KROKUS has come full circle! The reformed original line-up will only play one concert in 2008 at the "Stade De Suisse" Football Stadium in Bern/Switzerland on August 2nd. Fans from all over the world plan to be part of rock history in the making! After that the band will work on a comeback album to be released sometime in 2009, followed by a tour. The creation of the "Globe Club", led by longtime friend Peter Waelti, broadens the communication with our fan base in the meantime and offers regular news updates as they become available. Subscribe to the "Globe Club For Clan And Fan" on our official KROKUS web site www.krokusonline.com and find out when we will be rocking on a stage nearby your town in the future. The stage for the glorious return of the "originals" is set! As Marc’s T-shirt during a radio live performance at a classic rock station in Denver/Colorado rightfully reads: “THE PAST IS BACK TO KICK YOUR ASS”

VIO 7 is a rock group that is venturing in uncharted territories of rock music by using 7-string electric rock violin as a lead instrument, instead of guitar. The leader of the group Armand Melnbardis, well known for his immaculate playing skills as classical player, is clearly proven that he can challenge any guitar player with his driving rock riffs and soaring solos. His violin playing possesses power and range far beyond the capabilities of a guitar. Drummer Billy Dean is simply amazing. When he breaks into a drum solo during the live shows, he usually brings the house down. He us arguably one of the most talented young up and coming drummers in the U.S. right now. Monster player with chops to impress anyone, be it metal or jazz. Since the duties of electric guitar are replaced with a rock violin, Scott Queen often faces an additional task to double as a „rhythm guitarist“, while maintaining his solid yet elaborate bass lines. With Jason Boekelheide on the keyboards, have got to see and hear it to believe it! VIO 7 has received a lot of positive feedback and numerous CD reviews throughout the USA and even from foreign rock/metal webzines. The highly respected German ROCKTIMES calls Armand „The devil violinist who sets off fireworks with his unbelievable violin performance“, CLICK HERE! The honorable webzine METAL MONTHLY and it's founder Omar Rayna nominated Armand Melnbardis as FEATURED ARTIST. Please listen to the full-length audio interview which goes in a great detail about the ins and outs of Armand as a heavy metal violin player http://www.myspace.com/armandvio7 or http://www.vio7.com/index.htm Great Band Thanks again Armand. Brian Vollmer is the only remaining member of Helix from the original six that initially gathered in that cramped practice hall on Margaret Avenue in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Brian has seen the band from it's inception, through it's ups and downs, through it's bad times and it's good times. Brian got into the band because he had an overwhelming desire to be in a rock band from the time he bought his first album, "American Woman", by the Guess Who. He used to stand in his parents basement listening to "Monster" by Steppenwolfe and "air" guitar along to the record. He drove his mother and father crazy, but through it all they supported him in everything he did. These days Brian manages every aspect of the Helix organization from booking tours to distributing Helix merchandise. On top of all of this, Brian also operates a successful, elite Bel Canto vocal teaching business, performs classical music with symphony orchestras and spends time on his passion for architectural antiques.

Thanks Big John for being on are show. Keep on rockin on BRO. August 30, 1970 the world was in for it; a little dude was born and had fire in his eyes and a hunger in his soul (and stomach of course) to be different. I was raised in a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio, called Norwood and attended Purcell-Marian High School. In 1987 I was a member of the 14-0 Ohio State Champion Football team -receiving a rating of Number 2 in the country. I then went on to join the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of 1/1 in Camp Pendleton, California. I completed my active duty in 1993 after serving in Operation Desert Storm. In may of 1998 I attended a concert in Cleveland with Ratt, who was opening for Poison and was told I could ride the bus back to the hotel due to the fact my ride was taking my buddy and the tour manger back to the hotel. Well, I got on the crew bus and wound up in Detroit. I had planned on returning to Cincinnati in a week after continuing on with the band. The rest is history...I was asked to join the Poison team in May of 2000 and the party hasn't stopped since. I have continued on with Poison as well as working with great artist such as Nickleback, Saliva, Kid Rock, Bret of course on solo, and most recently Brian Setzer and the amazing regrouping of the Stray Cats this year. I have had the pleasure of meeting a lot of great fans of music along the way and made a few friends in the process so that being said all I can say is......It has been a great day at the office so far.... Thanks for everything and enjoy the site and the show.

Peyton’s musical tastes are very diverse...just like her! Led Zeppelin...hands down...are her musical heros but she loves 60’s music like The Grass Roots, Zombies & Herman’s Hermits to the Super Groups of the 70’s. A teen of the "hair metal 80’s" her formative years were ruled by bands like Poison, Whitesnake, Motley Crue & Def Leppard. In addition, one of her favorite songwriters/performers is Jeffrey Steele who is a hit maker in Nashville. Also, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, John Prine & Hank, Jr. are some of her favorites as well. More musical influences have been international flavors of music; The Gipsy Kings & Greek music top her list. A true lover of all music her style tends to be very diversified yet, classc rock at it’s core. Be sure to check out Days of Eden (top friends list) they are bad to the bone and ROCK!!! Also, Stone Blue and 27 Lights are awesome bands! Tucker and I have been friends for 20 plus years!!! These bands are on the rise so keep your ears open!

Rudolf Schenker (born August 31, 1948) is a German guitarist and founding member of Scorpions, being the rhythm/lead guitarist and one of the main song-writers of the band. While he is primarily known for playing Gibson Flying Vs and Dean Vs. In the Acoustica DVD, he is seen playing a very interesting acoustic Flying V made by Dommenget, especially for him. He now uses Dean acoustic Vs. In an interview on the 'World Wide Live' video, he mentioned that his goal is not to become the best or fastest guitarist, but to be the greatest composer.[1] In most Scorpions songs, guitar solos are performed by lead guitarist Matthias Jabs, but there are exceptions, such as "Wind of Change", "Still Loving You", "As Soon As The Good Times Roll", "Through My Eyes" and "Big City Nights". He is the older brother of Michael Schenker (who was a member of Scorpions in their early days).
